2025 MR. & MISS BASKETBALL, PRESENTED BY CSPIRE, AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
CLINTON, Miss. – The 2025 class of “Mr. Basketball” and “Miss Basketball” (presented by C Spire) award winners was announced Tuesday by the Mississippi High School Activities Association and Mississippi Association of Coaches and includes three repeat Mr. Basketball winners and one three-time Miss Basketball.

The full list of 2025 Miss Basketball, presented by C Spire, award winners follows:
- 1A – Akiah Prince, Simmons High School
- 2A - Macie Phifer, Ingomar High School
- 3A – Caitlin Hall, Coahoma County High School
- 4A – Meg Moore, Tishomingo County High School
- 5A – Shamira Morton, Canton High School
- 6A – Jakera Ducksworth, West Jones High School
- 7A – Fran Kelly, Hernando High School
Among the winners, Phifer was crowned Miss Basketball in 2023 (Class 1A) and 2024 (Class 2A) as well as Miss Volleyball for Class 2A in 2023 and 2024. Moore, a freshman, represents the youngest student-athlete to win the award.

- 1A – Stanford Spearman, Jr. – Coffeeville High School
- 2A – Devonta Thompson – Bogue Chitto High School
- 3A – Kedrick Simmons – Booneville High School
- 4A – Tim Holliday – Itawamba Agricultural High School
- 5A – Jamarion Fleming – Canton High School
- 6A – Phil Nelson – Ridgeland High School
- 7A – Braylon Barnes – Brandon High School
Spearman, Simmons, and Fleming each reclaimed his Mr. Basketball title from a year ago.
All Mr. Basketball and Miss Basketball winners will be recognized during the 2025 Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Big House Classic MHSAA State Championships at the Mississippi Coliseum (February 24-March 1). Recipients will also be honored at a special awards luncheon, which will also be live streamed on the NFHS Network, in the MHSAA Conference Center on March 4.
